Beverly Whipple is on the Advisory Committee for Partnership for Prevention in Washington,
DC and is working on a CDC grant to help incorporate sexual health into the education
of health care professionals and others. She also spoke on "Male and Female Midlife

New Membership Initiative

In a bold move to become more inclusive, the Consortium has revamped its membership
criteria so that membership is no longer limited to

professionals with expertise in sexuality and/or aging; rather, we welcome everyone
who shares the Consortium's commitment to enhance and advance the sexual health,
 education and rights of adults in mid and later life.

Our goal is to support members' efforts to:


* Educate and counsel adults
* Foster sex-positive environments
* Preserve older adults' dignity and privacy
*  Advocate through multi-media channels
*  Conduct and support research
*  Lecture, facilitate and keynote
*  Strengthen the Consortium through financial support,                in-kind services,
and word of mouth
*  Enhance the Consortium's impact by presenting at conferences, publishing and 
creating/responding to media opportunities

The Membership Committee will guide recruitment, create new member services, and
 communicate with members. The committee's main focus this year will be to work 
with other national organizations and universities to build membership.
