PROJECT: InVison - Level 1
*Seasoned Therapist, LCSW (in MD, WV, VA), WVU-MSW graduate (1986),
seeks to coordinate an initial group of individuals to form a team of
talented, intrinsically motivated clinicians, managers, educators,
marketing/outreach professionals and organizational/planning specialists. A
passion for learning and a history of service are required.
The Guiding GOAL: A network of service professionals who serve
professionals - motto: "We serve you, because you serve others"
To develop programs (and plan campus facilities) to serve and attract
high-quality service professionals of diverse disciplines and skill-sets.
The degree of specialty interest (role and contribution) is
self-determined, as is the investment of time, effort, knowledge, abilities
and/or (for some) - finances.
One-time participation is welcome as a dynamic factor of creating a
synergistic network.
Sub-specialties will be fostered by cross-disciplinary formats combining
developmental aspects of life-cycle with individual interests, and
professional expertise.
The Foundational Team(s) will include a minimum representation of the
following disciplines / experience:
. Medical professions
. Educators (of all levels) and Facilitators
. Clinicians of various disciplines / specialties
. Spiritual Disciplines / Community / Advocates
. Law Enforcement / EMS / Rescue / Military
. Marketing, Outreach, Fund-raising and Organization
. Finance / Billing / Accounting
. Artists / Musicians / Writers / Designers
. Professional Caregivers
. Case-managers / Discharge Planners
. Construction / Landscaping / Horticulture
. Security / Communications Technology
Planning events are planned for this summer and fall, designed to foster the
collective creativity, collaborative education and professional support.
Private conferences via remote access (e.g., www.gotomeeting.com and other
formats) are planned for small group discussion for optimal communication.
If you find any of the following project to be compatible with your life
goals, communicate your interest via e-mail, with detailed questions and
professional background:
1) Contributing to the design of a mountain-side Education / Retreat
Center, for artisans, the healing arts, clinical practitioners, and outdoor
education, to be situated on 37.5 acres 70 miles northwest of the White
House, and 7 miles from I-81.
2) Participating in co-created experiences of reflection, guidance and
personal growth (workshops, retreats) intended as self-care and skill
development - along parallel paths of personal and professional enrichment
3) Developing a network and participating in programs which serve
helping professionals - starting with the "Service Career Life-Review
Process" and "Self-Care and Healing for Front-Line Servants"
Related to the above goals, a gathering is planned in conjunction with the
Mountain Heritage Arts & Crafts Festival, June 14, 15 and 16, Shepherdstown,
WV - http://www.jeffersoncountywvchamber.org/festival/ and another with the
same festival in September 2013.
Monthly meetings regarding the above projects in July, August, and October,
in various locations, are also possible.
Fees may apply for some events to compensate for coordination, materials and
other hospitality expenses.
A membership structure will be developed by the foundational members.
