p> The Affordable Care Act (ACA) =
has resulted in numerous statutory changes. One of those changes incl=
udes the creation of the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP). =
; The PCIP is administered by either your state or the U.S. Department of H=
ealth and Human Services and provides a health coverage option for children=
and adults in all 50 states and the District of Columbia who have been loc=
ked out of the health insurance market because of a pre-existing condition.=
This transitional program will continue until 2014 when Americans, regardl=
ess of their health status, will have access to affordable health insurance=
when the nation transitions to a new marketplace. =
After a presentation on PCIP, subject matters expert=
s will be available to answer your questions related to PCIP. =
Addition=
ally, beginning August 1, 2011, licensed insurance agents and brokers can r=
eceive a flat fee of $100 for each successful enrollment of a Pre-Existing =
Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP) enrollee in the 23 states and the District =
