Volunteer Coordinator, CASA of Marion County
Organization Profile: CASA of Marion County, located in Fairmont, WV., is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advocate for children in the foster care system who have been abused and neglected and to raise community awareness about child abuse and neglect. Our mission is fulfilled through the recruitment, training and supervision of community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) and work to ensure these children are provided with a safe, nurturing and permanent home.
Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator
Job Type: Full Time (40 Hours a week), Exempt, schedule varies
Pay Rate: $28,000/annually.
Location: Fairmont, WV
Supervisor: Executive Director
Responsibilities:
* Volunteer Training, Recruitment, Screening, Scheduling and Supervision
* Case Management: Coordinate, Document, Assign Volunteers, and Maintain Files
* Update social media accounts and participate in fundraising events.
* Attend meetings as a representative of the organization.
* Attend and participate in court hearings.
* Maintain various databases.
* Operate General Office Equipment including Computers, Printers, Fax Machines, Multi-line telephones, Postage Machines, etc.
Qualifications Expected:
* Bachelor's in Social Work.
* Preference given to candidates experienced in working with volunteers and families in crisis.
* Ability to travel within the state, as needed.
* Strong interpersonal and oral/verbal communication skills.
* Ability to take direction, work autonomously, and prioritize effectively.
* Strong Capabilities in Microsoft Office.
* Strong Organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to work on simultaneous projects, manage time, and maintain accurate records.
* Professionalism and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
