Hospice Care Corporation still has space for special * VOLUNTEERS * and  *CAMPERS*  for Camp Nabe, Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28, 2015. 



This camp is designed to help children ages 7-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one.  The camp is offered at no cost and provides bereaved children an opportunity to meet in a safe environment and share with others who have experienced death.

We are looking for special volunteers, 18 years of age or older, who have a big heart and are willing to sacrifice a weekend of their lives to help these children.
There are several volunteer positions available for those who would like to help out with Camp Nabe.

   Buddies:  Involves a constant watch on your camper and participating in all activities the camper is doing.
   Support Staff:  Help set up activities and help out as needed.
   Kitchen assistance:   Assist in meal preparation.
   Cabin leaders:  Help the campers prepare for bed, wake-up call, and help as support staff.

Those interested in volunteering for Camp Nabe will be required to complete:
1.)    Application - Fingerprints (Arranged by HCC)
2.)    Training (Date to be determined) - Training in the grief process and communication skills prepares you to offer support to those who attend Camp Nabe.  Important information regarding camp will also be handed out.  Training requires volunteer presence for a few hours one afternoon.  (Training length is determined by size of group attending).

The camp will be held on Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Camp Roy Weller in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia.  All children and volunteers will stay in secure, comfortable cabins.
