West Virginia University MSW program to Potomac State College is Accepting Advanced Standing Applications
West Virginia University Division of Social Work is accepting advanced standing applications for a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program at Potomac State College in Keyser, WV. Advanced standing students must have an undergraduate degree in social work from a CSWE accredited school. Their degree must be less than eight years old and they must have a 3.00 GPA in their social work classes and an overall GPA of not less than 2.75.
An informational session will be held on March 18, 2010 at Potomac State College, Science Hall, room G4 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. WVU Social Work Faculty will be on hand to provide an overview of the program and answer questions.
Students take six graduate credit hours each semester and attend classes each summer they are in the program. Classes are offered in a variety of formats including classroom instruction, distance education, and on-line classes. The program is part time and is geared for professionals already working in the field. All classes are held on week day evenings or on Saturdays. Anticipated graduation for the upcoming class is August 2012.
