Dear Rural Health Colleagues:

As you know the 2010 decennial census will occur this spring. Special
efforts are being made to make sure that rural people respond to the
census. To this end, the US Census Bureau is looking for people in rural
areas to take the census in their home communities. This census is
particularly important to Rural America for a number of reasons, the
most current of which are accurate data to address Healthcare Reform
issues for rural people, and the status and number of rural veterans and
their families. Please consider these positions in your home community
and pass the word on to others who might be interested. Please pass the
word through your local civic and social organizations, schools, and
churches. Elizabeth Guthrie is the Census Coordinator for WV. She is
making a strong appeal for more rural West Virginians to be counted.

PLEASE DO ALL YOU CAN TO FIND RURAL PEOPLE TO FILL THESE JOBS. ENCOURAGE
FAMILY MEMBERS AND NEIGHBORS TO COMPLETE THE CENSUS FORMS WHEN THEY
ARRIVE BY MAIL.

Use the web link below for application info. Send any questions
directly to Elizabeth Guthrie at [log in to unmask]

this important request!

Sincerely,

Hilda R. Heady

Associate Vice President for Rural Health, WVU HSC

Executive Director, WVRHEP/AHEC

2010 Census Jobs

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting temporary, part-time census takers
for the 2010 Census. These short-term jobs offer good pay, flexible
hours, paid training, and reimbursement for authorized work-related
expenses, such as mileage incurred while conducting census work. Best of
all, census takers work right in their own communities.

Census taker jobs are excellent for people who want to work part-time,
those who are between jobs, or just about anyone who wants to earn extra
money while performing an important service for their community.

To begin the application process, call 1-866-861-2010 to schedule
yourself for the required employment test.

For more information about the positions or to see a practice test,
