Dear Friends and Alumni -

Dr. Barry Locke, Associate Professor of Social Work, is retiring this
spring.  He has served WVU and the social work profession so very well.

There will be a reception on April 28, Wednesday, in conjunction with
NASW at the annual meeting in April, so watch the registration
information for that.  

You are invited to join the Division in honoring Dr. Locke and his
many
years of teaching, service, and research.  We plan to put together an
album with pictures and quotes.  I am inviting you and others who have
a
sentence or two to say about Barry.  I know that many of you have
funny,
appreciative, comments about Dr. Locke's contributions to social work
education and the profession. We will organize a selection of
responses
in an album, read a few aloud at the reception, and present him with
the
album.  We will be including your name with your quotation unless you
ask us not to do so.   

I look forward to your quotes and to the celebration of Barry’s 37
years with WVU.  Please forward your responses to
