Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization founded in 1993 and dedicated to serving the Pittsburgh
region’s homeless military Veterans. We currently operate a 46-bed
transitional housing facility for homeless Veterans in addition to a
7000+ ft2 Service Center.
In September 2010, we will be starting a new program in the Service
Center that will serve as a hub of services for homeless Veterans living
in Pittsburgh’s shelters and on the streets. The Homeless Veterans Day
Program will provide breakfast, lunch, job development, computer
training, addiction recovery programming, psycho-social programming, and
referral to services provided by other community organizations and
government agencies.
We are currently seeking a motivated MSW to serve as our Homeless
Veterans Day Program Manager. This position offers candidates an
excellent opportunity to utilize their skills in a fast-paced,
collaborative environment where they will be able to quickly make an
impact not only on the clients they serve but the organization as well.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to showcase
their leadership abilities and take a key role in the early development
and refinement of a program.
Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to the
Veterans Place Executive Director via email at
