The Region 8 Planning and Development Council, on behalf of the Upper
Potomac Area Agency on Aging, are seeking a part-time SHIP Counselor. 
SHIP stands for State Health Insurance Assistance Program. The SHIP
Counselor assists older West Virginians and their families with
questions pertaining to health insurance benefits and related services.
The Counselor will work up to 28 hrs per week.   The position requires
an Associates Degree and two years experience in the field of human
services or health insurance. Ten years of relevant experience may
substitute for the degree.  The PDC will give preference to individuals
with both a degree and experience.  The annual salary for this position
is up to $17,500 with benefits.  The office for this position is located

Social Worker - Martinsburg

The Region 8 Planning and Development Council, on behalf of the Upper
Potomac Area Agency on Aging, are seeking a social worker.  The Social
Worker will work with programs serving the elderly and persons with
disabilities and their families in the three counties of the Eastern
Panhandle. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a WV Social
Work License, and five years experience as a social worker.  A Social
Worker License and at least ten years experience will substitute for the
degree.  The PDC will give preference to individuals with both a degree
and experience.  The annual salary for this position is up to $28,000.
