The “Working with Youth” Community Training Series
When: Saturday, March 27, 2010
From 9am-12:30pm (Registration starts at 8:30am)
Where: 1st United Methodist Church
49 S Green St in Berkeley Springs, WV 25411
Why: The goal of the training program is to empower individuals who
work directly with youth by providing them with meaningful and quality
training opportunities.
The training is FREE and open to anyone who works with youth, such as
parents, coaches, mentors, tutors, teachers; youth group leaders, camp
counselors, school bus drivers, etc
Program schedule & topics include:
8:30am-9am: Registration/ light refreshments
9am-10am: What is Active Listening?

10am-10:15am- Break/Time for switching presenters
10:15am-11:15am: Identifying At-Risk Youth and What to You Can Do to
Help
presented by Matt Tolliver, Professional School Counselor at Warm
Springs Intermediate School
11:15am-11:30am- Break/Time for switching presenters
11:30am-12:30pm- Teaching Kids How to Excel in Math,
presented by Derrick Fox, Math Coach for Morgan County Schools
