The Center for Victims of Violence and Crime is pleased to present the
following professional training opportunities.  Individual flyers with
registration information and detailed descriptions are attached for your
convenience.  The deadline for the Culturally Sensitive Trauma Response
training next Thursday has been extended-it's not too late to register!
Please call us at 412-482-3240, ext 111 to pay by phone.  The deadline for
Conflict Resolution is quickly approaching-January 24th.
 
 
*	Culturally Sensitive Trauma Response
Participants will learn the negative impact on quality of life when
unresolved trauma is passed on from generation to generation.
Date: January 15, 2009
Time: 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
Tuition: $65
Approved provider of CEU and Act 48. PCCD approved for 6 hours.
 
 
*	Conflict Resolution
Participants develop fundamental skills for resolving conflict effectively
and peacefully.  This training is a prerequisite for mediation training. 
Full attendance is required for conflict resolution certificate.
Dates: February 7 and 21st, 2009
Time: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Tuition: $200
Registration deadline: January 24, 2009
Approved provider of CLE, CEU and Act 48, PCCD approved for 7.5 hours
 
*	Mediation Training
Participants will learn a model of mediation that is used by professionals
and applicable to resolving conflict in every day interactions while
supporting individuals in their decisions of how best to cope with conflict
and disagreements.
Full attendance is required for certificate; Conflict Resolution Training is
a prerequisite for this class.
Dates: March 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2009
           April 1, 15, 22 and 29, 2009
Time: 6:00 PM-9:00 PM
Tuition: $350
Registration Deadline: February 18, 2009
Approved provider of CLE, CEU and Act 48
PCCD approved for 8 hours
 
*	Teen Dating Violence
Participants will identify characteristics of intimate partner violence and
how to effectively intervene to mitigate long term impact on healthy
relationships and adolescent life choices.
Date: March 6, 2009
Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Tuition: $40
Registration Deadline: February 20, 2009
Training approved by PCCD for 3 hours.
Approved provider of CEU and Act 48
