My dad was a 20 year Army man who served in the Viet Nam war as a radio
teletype operator. He never talked about what he saw or what happened over
there, but he was a good man and I am to this day proud of him. He retired
in 1976 and died in 1986 from a lymphoma brain tumor that was directly
related to his exposure to Agent Orange while in Viet Nam. While it wasn't
a bullet that took his life, he still died for his country, for our country.
Thank you to all the service men and women and their families who sacrifice
every day for the rest of us.

My father did two tours of Viet Nam. I was an ARMY brat for the first
16 years of my life. Dad retired from reserves in the 80's. He is
currently suffering from Parkinson's Disease and diabetes. Most
certainly from exposure to Agent Orange. He is proud to be an Army
retiree and we have been proud of all his service throughout his tenure.
Thanks to all who recognize the dedication and sacrifice these men and
women have made.

Jacki,
Here is another "me, too". I was in the Air Force during the early
years
of Vietnam, but only on stateside duty. My uncle, who raised my sister
and
I after our dad left, was in the Normandy Invasion and wounded in France
a
week later. I have a son who just returned from Sadr City for the
second
time, with a trip to Afghanistan in between, and my granddaughters'
husband
is currently in Afghanistan. Another Son was in the 82nd Airborne for
several years and another one was in the Air Force in Saudi Arabia as an
egress mechanic on F-111's. I am proud of all of them.
