Add my son to the list of those proudly serving. He is the Gunner with the
1st battalion 5th Marines. His boots are currently one the sand in
Afghanistan.

I too thank all of Veterans, those retired and those who are serving our
great nation. Heard on the radio today from a Chaplain in Afghanistan,
encouraging all Americans to have a wonderful, great day as that is why they
are over there.

Add my name to the list. My father is a WWII veteran. After attending the
training Operation Military Kids I heard the best definition of what is a
Veteran that I would like to share: A veteran is someone who, at one point
in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of
America, for an amount of "up to and including my life." A big thank you to
all of our veterans.
