Reminder the monthly Geriatrics Journal Club is this Wednesday, November 11th from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in Room 3009. Snacks provided, bring your own drink.
The Journal Club discusses the latest in research about diseases and conditions common in the elderly population. In West Virginia 15% of the population are age 65 or older. Nationwide, the elderly population stands at 12.9% and that number is expected to double by 2030. All medical professionals are going to see large numbers of elderly patients in their practices regardless of specialty. Another goal of Journal Club is to gain experience in presenting research and data to a group of your peers. If you have an article you would like to present, contact Mark Newbrough, Todd Goldberg, Barbara Nunley, David Elliott or Betsy Randall, faculty from WVU- Charleston Division. .
