The Community Resource Consultant provides information, resources and support to senior citizens and adults with physical disabilities participating in Personal Options (the self-directed service option within West Virginia's Medicaid Aged & Disabled Waiver Program). Community Resource Consultants assist participants with the responsibilities of self-direction, including the responsibilities of being an employer. The Community Resource Consultant assists participants in developing spending plans, recruiting and supervising employees and purchasing approved goods and services. Other responsibilities include participant enrollment, training, monitoring, and reporting.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in human services field and one year experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or senior citizens and their families (knowledge of Medicaid Waiver services strongly preferred)
-OR-
Associate's degree and two years experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or senior citizens and their families (knowledge of Medicaid Waiver services strongly preferred)
Other requirements:
This is a home-based position requiring frequent in-state travel and a flexible schedule.
