** High Priority **
Good Afternoon:
Do you have the need to increase your communication strategies to improve the health literacy of your patients/clients; thereby improving their ability to comply with their health care plans or need for information?
The West Virginia Geriatric Education Center (WVGEC) is sponsoring training to increase awareness of the prevalence and impact of low/limited health literacy, teach communication strategies to address the problem and enable you to teach others about this public health issue.
Attached is a brochure which includes the information needed to register for the class, being held on October 29 - 31, 2009.at Charleston Marriott. The registration deadline has been extended to October 23rd.
Please note this class is at no cost to the trainees, but being paid from funding received by the WVGEC.
Please contact Mary Annie, by email at [log in to unmask] or by telephone 304-347-1295 to register for this training. Past trainees have given it very high marks and are using the tools learned to have a positive impact on older adults.
Best Regards,
