Away From Supervision (October 29, 2009)
Nearly ten years ago concerned providers from the West Virginia Child Care Association
(WVCCA) formed a work group to tackle the runaway issue in residential care facilities.
The group developed a comprehensive training curriculum to be used to train employees
how best to prevent runaways, what to do in the event of a runaway and how to provide
treatment to a returning runaway.
WVCCA has worked to update and refresh the Away From Supervision Training Manual.
We are pleased to announce that the Training of Trainers will be provided in conjunction
with the Sex, Drugs and Rock N Roll Conference: Managing Teens' Troubles in Today's
World. This training is for individuals who have already been trained in the Away
from Supervision Curriculum and who are interested in being a trainer in your own
facility.
REGISTRATION:
WVCCA Members: $65 per person
Non-WVCCA Members: $90 per person
