“Help with Anxiety Management for Older Adults and their Families”

Associate Professor of Social Work
West Virginia University - Charleston Division

Join us for our monthly Geriatrics Lunchtime Learning Series designed
to promote interdisciplinary teams and quality care for geriatric
patients. Target audience for this activity includes physicians in
primary care and all specialties, nurses, dietitians, social workers,
pharmacists, and all other interested health care professionals.

LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED ONLY TO THOSE THAT REGISTER!

Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, participants should be
able to:
●	Summarize contemporary psychosocial approaches to anxiety
management in older adult populations
●	Summarize contemporary psychopharmacological approaches to
anxiety management in older adult populations
●	Summarize contemporary approaches to anxiety management in older
adult populations for family members and care givers

Accreditation
Physicians-The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute’s CME
program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for
physicians. The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute designates
this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category I
credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the
extent of their participation in this activity. 
Nurses-The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is accredited
as a provider of continuing education by the West Virginia 
Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing
education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing 
Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This offering (P015-11-09934)
has been approved for 1 contact hour.
Social Work-The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is an
approved provider of continuing education by the West Virginia Board of
Social Work Examiners.  This program has been approved for 1 hour of
social work credit.  Approval number #490045. 
Dietitians-This program has been approved for 1 CPE hour by the
Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the
American Dietetic Association.
Pharmacy-The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is accredited
by the American Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of
continuing pharmacy education.  This program has been approved for 1
contact hour(s) under program approval number 554-000-09-058-LO4-P
