Who Should Attend

Social workers, therapists, case managers, direct service providers, law enforcement,
advocates and professionals working with at-risk and vulnerable populations will
 benefit from the cutting edge topics and sessions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Conference Topics
The conference is organized in three tracks - one for sex, another for drugs and
 yet another for rock-n-roll or rather cultural influences and pressures.
Sex: Whether we're engaged in treating survivors of sexual abuse or providing services
to reduce the likelihood of early sexual activity, this conference will feature
professionals with diverse backgrounds and experience that will educate and train
attendees on how to approach challenging sexual issues in teens.
Drugs:Protecting teens from the pressures and temptations to use drugs goes beyond
teaching them to "just say no". During the conference, sessions will be focused
on prevention and treatment of teens with drug abuse problems, in addition to treating
children who are drug endangered.
Rock 'N Roll: Every generation of teens has faced situations unique to their time.
 Advances in technology and global cultural influences have drastically changed
the way teens interact.  These changes present new challenges but also offer opportunities
for engagement.  During the conference, experts from a variety of fields will be
 on hand to provide information and approaches to dealing with teens' troubles in
today's world.
West Virginia's First Lady Gayle Manchin will provide opening remarks to commemorate
WVCCA's 30th Anniversary and kick-off the conference.
