Are you considering board service, or desiring to be more effective in
your current role as a board member? This workshop will help new and
prospective board members gain an appreciation for the roles and
responsibilities of nonprofit boards, individual board members.
Participants will gain:
an understanding of the primary roles and responsibilities of nonprofit
board members.
an understanding of self governance principles for nonprofit
organizations.
an understanding of how to evaluate board performance.
an understanding of strategies for recruiting and maintaining a strong
board of directors.
This workshop has been approved for a maximum of 3.5 continuing
education hours for licensed Social Workers, (WV, MD,PA, & VA), under
the West Virginia University School of Applied Social Sciences Division
of Social Work WVBSWE Provider #490051.”
"This workshop has been approved for 3.5 hours towards the WVU
Continuing Education Certificate in Nonprofit Management under the
category of Boards of Directors/Governance - Board Self Governance.”
COMMUNITY COLLABORATIVE REGISTRATION FORM
To register for the above workshops, mail your completed registration
form with the $25 registration fee. Checks should be made out to
“Hampshire County Community Foundation” and mailed to: HCCF, PO
Box 40, Romney, West Virginia 26757. This session will be held at
Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College and includes lunch.
