The Sexual Assault Help Center announces two job openings.

JOB OPENING 1
VICTIM ADVOCATE- this is a full-time position (M-F 8:00am-4:00pm) in
the Wheeling office. Responsibilities include:
●	Providing support and advocacy services to adult victims of
sexual violence (male and female ages 18 years and older) 
●	Assisting with training and supervision of crisis hotline
volunteer advocates
●	Recording agency data and statistics   
Qualifications:
●	Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a social-service related field
(psychology, social work, child development, counseling, education,
etc.)
●	Work-related experience with children and families in crisis
●	Empathy and compassion with excellent advocacy and communication
skills
Position is funded by WV VOCA (21 years of consecutive funding).
Pay based on qualifications and experience.

JOB OPENING 2
PREVENTION EDUCATION SPECIALIST- this is a part-time position based in
the Steubenville Ohio office and serving Hancock, Brooke, and Ohio
Counties in WV. 
Responsibilities include:
●	Provide sexual violence prevention education programs and
services to children and adults & assist with crisis hotline services in
the communities of Hancock, Brooke, & Ohio Counties WV.
Qualifications:
●	Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a social-service related field
(education, social work, counseling, communication, etc.)
●	Work-related experience with children and families in crisis
●	Creative and energetic with excellent individual and group
communication skills
●	Empathy and compassion with excellent advocacy skills
Position is funded by WV Recovery Act: Justice Assistance Grant (two
year grant funded position)
Pay based on qualifications and experience.
