United Way Request For Proposals
The United Way of the Eastern Panhandle has released two new Requests for Proposals.
One for structured summer programming for Berkeley, Jefferson, and/or Morgan counties
and the other for strategies aimed at reducing violence, neglect, and abuse within
the family unit. These RFPs, which are due July 31, are available on the United

School Clothing Vouchers
The Department of Health and Human Resources will be accepting applications for
school clothing vouchers from July 1 - July 31. Applications cannot be accepted

Case Management and Client Contract Workshop
The HHSC Self Sufficiency Work Group is committed to enhancing services for Eastern
Panhandle Residents through a series of training sessions during 2009. The next
workshop, Case Management 101/Client Contract, is scheduled for Friday, July 10,
from 9:30 to 1:30 at Berkeley County DHHR.

5th Annual Ruff Rider Poker Run
Humane Society of Morgan County will be holding it's 4th Annual Poker Run on July
11, 2009 to benefit the animals of Morgan County. It will begin at 10:00AM from
the Troubador Restaurant and Music Park on Highland Ridge in Berkeley Springs.
Each entry will be $20, and the ride will wind through Morgan County,WV; Southern
Pennsylvania and Nearby Maryland. There will be food and beverages available at
the Music Park following the ride. All proceeds will directly be applied to services
for the animals.
