Dear Rural Social Work Colleagues,
You can register online for the 34th Annual National Institute on Social
Work and Human Services in Rural Areas to be held in Duluth, Minnesota
on July 26-28. The website URL is <www.d.umn.edu/goto/rswconference>.
The conference site, the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites - Downtown
Waterfront, is within walking distance of Lake Superior. The Duluth area
is one of the most beautiful parts of the country to visit during the
summer.
The conference theme is "Diverse Populations: Challenges for Rural
Social Work in the 21st Century". Although preference was given to
proposals focusing on diversity, there will be a wide range of
presentations relating to various aspects of effective rural social work
practice.
We actively encourage students and community practitioners, as well as
academicians, to attend. There is a reduced registration rate for
students.
If you have any questions about the conference, please feel free to
contact me at [log in to unmask] or by phone at (218) 726-7642.
Looking forward to seeing you in Duluth!
