WV Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral and Treatment (WVSBIRT)


Full time position located in Wood, Jackson, Wirt, and Calhoun County.  Accepts direct referrals from medical staff of the primary care center, provide immediate service to client.  Conduct screening as required by WVSBIRT.  Determine and provide best treatment (brief intervention, brief treatment or referral)  for patient. Develop a strength-based treatment plan based on evidence-based practices utilized in WVSBIRT; collaborate with medical provider concerning treatment plan and amend plan as agreed; connect patient with WVSBIRT Care Coordinator to assist client with referral and transportation to behavioral health center.  Assist in discharge planning for each patient prior to discharge from the WVSBIRT program. Masters degree in human services field required.  At least one year experience working with target populations required. Addiction Experience preferred. Professional licensure required.
