The U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps is an elite team of
more than 6,000 well-trained, highly qualified public health
professionals dedicated to delivering the Nation's public health
promotion and disease prevention programs and advancing public health
science. Driven by a passion for public service, these men and women
serve on the frontlines in the Nation's fight against disease and poor
health conditions. As one of America's seven uniformed services, the
Commissioned Corps fills essential public health leadership and service
roles within the Nation's Federal Government agencies and programs.

There is a need for 30-40 licensed clinical social workers to work in
the Department of Defense. To learn more about the Commissioned Corps
social work opportunities please reference website www.USPHS.gov. If you
have questions regarding the program, call CAPT Walker (240-453-6058;
[log in to unmask]), LCDR Dunbar (240-453-6045,
[log in to unmask]) or Ms. Cyndia Harroway (240-453-6135,
[log in to unmask]). Should we not be available to answer the
phone at the time of your calling, please leave a phone number and a
clear message indicating you are calling about the DoD behavioral health
initiative.
