JOB OPENING

The TEAM for West Virginia Children has a job opening with Cabell-Wayne
Healthy Families America/New STEPS. This is a voluntary program for families
who are expecting or have just had their first child.  Family Support
Workers provide weekly home visits to families to provide child development
and parenting information, link families to services, and promote positive
parent-child interaction.  The New STEPS Family Resource Specialists are
responsible for intake, assessment and referral for families with young
children.

Wayne Healthy Families America/New STEPS Supervisor

JOB DUTIES:

Supervise a team of three Family Support Workers and two Family Resource
Specialists, providing support, information and linkage to resources for
expectant and new parents.
Arrange for the required and wrap-around training for team members.
Coordinate and oversee logistics of participant group activities.
Maintain required data collection systems for grant reporting.
Assist in upholding program standards for accreditation
Oversee the office in Wayne.
Serve on appropriate community and state groups.
Provide community education presentations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

BA in social work, psychology, sociology (or related) field required; LSW
preferred.
Experience in the human service (or related) field, working with families,
required; experience with home visitation and/or early child development
field preferred.
Experience as a supervisor preferred.
Excellent organizational, writing and leadership skills needed.

SALARY RANGE: $31,000 to $35,000 plus benefits            HOURS: 40 hours
per week
