Rotary Clubs seek professionals for exchange trip to Japan
North Central West Virginia Rotary Clubs are looking for four
outstanding professionals to compose a Group Study Exchange (GSE) team
to visit Japan. The trip is scheduled from March 16 through April 18,
2009. A team from the above area will visit West Virginia about the same
time.
The purpose of the exchange is to promote international understanding
and goodwill through person-to-person contact. Team members will share
personal knowledge of their own country and experience the
vocations, customs and lifestyles of another. While abroad, team
members will stay in Rotarians’ homes and be able to meet their
professional counterparts. They will also give presentations about their
home country to
Rotary Clubs and other groups.
The Rotary Foundation provides a round-trip air ticket and local
Rotarians in the host country will provide meals, lodging and group
travel in their district. Team members will pay for personal and
incidental expenses.
