Conference Overview
Domestic violence can produce serious mental
health consequences. Systems that survivors
turn to for help need to be prepared to address
the range of issues faced by victims as they
seek to recover from the traumatic effects of
abuse.
It is essential that mental health providers,
domestic violence advocates, peer support
groups and other allied programs find ways to
deliver services that are trauma-informed,
culturally relevant, and increase the move
toward safety and recovery.
This conference will provide information and
tools to help advance the delivery of services
that are effective, appropriate and meaningful
when working with people who have
experienced the intersection of domestic
violence, mental health and trauma.
