Plan to join the West Virginia University School of Medicine, the
University of Pittsburgh Center for Public Health Preparedness, and
the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the Pandemic Influenza
2nd Annual Cross-Border Public Health Preparedness Conference on
Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences
Learning
Center, Morgantown, WV.
This year’s conference theme is “Cross-Border Public Health
Preparedness for Pandemic Influenza: Building Collaborations at the
Local Level.” The conference will build a collaborative bridge
between
Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia for about 200 border county
participants from a wide range of local, state, federal, and
territorial
governmental agencies and private-sector threat-preparedness partners.
This conference is designed for public health practitioners, nurses,
dentists, pharmacists, physicians, and other health care
professionals.
There is no charge to attend this conference. The deadline to register
is July 10, 2008. A registration form and conference details are
attached. Attendance is limited to 200 participants.
