Dear Colleagues in NASW West Virginia,
 
In an effort to address the potential emotional, mental and/or psychosocial
ramifications of Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and similar
conditions experienced by veterans, he Give An Hour program invites clinical
social workers and other mental health professionals to 'Give An Hour' of pro
bono service each week to a returning military personnel/veteran or their
family.
 
West Virginia is the first state to affiliate with the program in a major
way. You are invited to the kick-off press event at 9:30 AM on Tuesday,
October 21st. Please see the invitation from the Give An Hour program below.
 
We hope to see many of you there! The NASW National organization and the
West Virginia Chapter have endorsed the program. Interested clinicians may

On Tuesday, October 21, all area mental health professionals and interested
service members, veterans, and their families are invited to attend an event
hosted by Governor Joe Manchin in conjunction with Give an Hour.
Give an Hour is a nonprofit organization that provides free mental health
services through the generosity of volunteers from the mental health community
to U.S. military personnel and their families affected by the current
conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This event is going to feature a presentation by representatives of Give an
Hour on how to participate in their program. More information about Give an
