We still have plenty of openings for our Weds, 5/9 workshop on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in Returning Combat Zone Veterans in Charleston, WV, from 1-4pm at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center, next to the Charleston Area Medical Center.  The rate is $35.  If you have 3 or more people from your agency, you will receive a $10 discount on each participant.

With over 1 million servicemen and women having returned from the Global War on Terrorism, 1 in 5 combat veterans have symptoms of PTSD.  The readjustment to "normal" life for these individuals and their loved ones, neighbors and communities is a growing area of concern for social service practitioners nationwide.  This workshop will offer an overview for service providers of the assessment and treatment of readjustment problems experienced by our returning servicemen and women and identify resources available to them for PTSD assessment and treatment.
