Free Training
7 CEU's for Attending
The National Council For Adoption Offers a free one day training scheduled
for April 18th at the Davis Child Shelter training/conference room. The
address is 1145 Greenbrier Street, Charleston West Virginia.
The training is a part of the Infant Adoption Awareness Initiative which
encompasses Adoption as An Option
In 1999 Congress enacted the Infant Adoption Awareness Act and in 2000 began
a nationwide effort to bring awareness to adoption. Currently over 17,000
have been trained nationwide. This training is free to anyone who may have
contact with a young teen or woman who may be experiencing an unplanned
pregnancy.
Additionally there will be a two day training beginning June 11th and 12th
with 16 CEU's given. The 2 day training provides a paid hotel room for all
trainees, breakfast and lunch is provided and a $25.00 a day stipend is
given to cover cost of evening meals. The stipend is normally paid to
trainees 3-4 weeks after the training.

web site and register on line at www.adoptioncouncil.org. There is limited
availability so it on a first registered till full basis. Please register
on line for the one day April the 18th training as well.
