EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy (WV-CBP), a new
nonpartisan,
nonprofit, statewide policy research organization, is seeking an
executive
director.
The director will be responsible for overall leadership of the
organization,
as well as leading, coordinating, and implementing its budget, tax, and
policy
analysis work.
The preferred candidate will have a graduate degree in public policy,
economics, law, social work or a related field; excellent written and
oral
communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex or
technical
information clearly to a range of audiences both in writing and through
public
speaking; strong policy and budget analysis skills; a minimum of five
years of
experience in public policy analysis; knowledge of legislative and
budget
processes; demonstrated capacity to work with policymakers, advocates,
the news media,
and constituent groups.
In addition, the candidate should have a commitment to social and
economic
justice; be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills; have a
creative
and entrepreneurial spirit; a commitment to excellence; and understand
and
value diversity.
This is a full-time position located in Charleston, WV. Salary
commensurate

Program Overview and Objectives: The purpose of this workshop is to
provide
training for potential leaders of Domestic Violence educational
sessions at
their workplace or other community settings. Participants will be able
to:
Understand safe, effective screening and counseling techniques
recommended in
identifying and assisting Domestic Violence victims.
Identify appropriate resources for providing/developing training
sessions on
Domestic Violence.
Demonstrate understanding of recommended teaching methods and group
facilitation.
