If you have an interest in training in nonprofit management, then consider signing up for some of the workshops sponsored by WVU Division of Social Work this Winter/Spring!
In Morgantown, we are continuing the popular Nonprofit Management Breakfast Series. From 2/20 - 5/1, a series of 6 two-hour workshops will be held every other week at the Laurel Room of the Mountainlair from 7:30-9:30am. Participants can choose to attend the whole series ($100 or $90 if you register early - by 2/1/07) - or you can just pick sessions and attend them as they match your interests ($25 each or $22.50 if you meet early bird deadlines). A light breakfast will be served.

2/20: Coaching for Success: Strategies for Efficiency and Effectiveness
3/6: Nonprofit Budgeting
3/20: Executive Director and the Board: Realistic Roles and Responsibilities
4/3: Building Networks and Collaborations in Communities
4/17: From Welcome to Good Riddance: Spotting Employment Law Issues in the WV Nonprofit Workplace
5/1: Communicating Your Brand Identity (Logos, Taglines, Business Cards, Letterhead, and Much More)
Additionally, several sessions on nonprofit management will be held in Clarksburg:

3/13, 10am-12pm: Crafting and Delivering a Memorable Message
3/13, 1-3pm: Strategic Planning for Creativity and Flexibility
4/10, 10am-12pm: The Importance of Dynamic Leadership in the Nonprofit Sector
Finally, a FREE workshop will be held in Morgantown on April 3, 2007 from 1-4pm on “An Open Space on Nonprofit Crisis Management”. This unique session will be an open dialogue around the topic of crisis management in nonprofit organizations and will allow participants to bring their expertise to the table and learn through discussions with peers. 3 CEUs available.
