BP/ Morgantown Business and Professional Women Declares
National Business Women's Week®, October 2007
BPW/Morgantown and Business and Professional Women/USA announce that
the annual National Business Women's Week™ (NBWW) will be held October
15-19, 2007. NBWW offers communities, companies and organizations an
opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of working
women. It also offers a chance for local BPW/USA organizations across
the country to recognize companies and individuals that have made
strides toward improving working women's lives in their communities.
BPW/Morgantown will host a Speed Networking event at Ramada Inn October
18th, 2007 from 6pm-9pm. The event takes a different spin on Speed
dating. BPW/Morgantown will begin the event by presenting awards to the
2007 Woman and Business of the Year. These awards are given to an
individual and business that have helped to promote leadership roles for
women and to increase opportunities for their advancement professionally
and personally. Immediately following, will be the feature activity of
the event, Speed Networking. Businesses will learn about each other
with a quick pace similar to speed dating. Each business will get 60
seconds to promote themselves to one another, before rotating to the
next. Businesses are also encouraged to promote with a vendor table
through out the evening. Hors d’oeuvre and cash bar will be
provided. The event is $15 per person or $30 for vendor table (this
includes one admission and one drink ticket). For more information
