Presentation Description:
Does your non-profit or your favored organization have a strategy for
long term success? The first hour of this workshop will provide an
outline for establishing a planned giving program in your local
community. Topics covered will include, understanding the terminology
of planned giving, defining the planned giving audience, identifying the
tools to reach that audience, and where to seek help so as not to
reinvent the wheel.
The second hour will introduce non-profits to a specific constituency
in the world of planned giving – the Trust advisor. The Trust
advisor’s dual role in relation to non-profits and foundations, and
the donor will be explained. Learn to expand your resources by forging
a relationship with Trust Advisors.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will
Have a new awareness of the benefits of establishing a planned giving
program,
Will have the knowledge to craft a planned giving program to meet the
specific needs of their organization,
And, will have a variety of sample tools to take and use in their
program.
Specifically, participants will gain knowledge about the planned giving
community including community foundations, trust advisors, and
membership organizations such as LEAVE A LEGACY of WV. They will learn
what resources these organizations can provide to their agencies and how
