Faith and Fundraising
In congregations and faith-based organizations, money is often a taboo
subject. Yet fundraising is a vital part of securing the resources
needed
to sustain the work of faith in this world‹and giving is an important
means
by which believers can express their faith. Developed in partnership
between the Lake Institute on Faith Giving and The Fund Raising
School,
this course examines:
* The opportunities and challenges facing religious and faith-based
organizations today.
* The interplay between religion and generosity.
* The role of pastoral leadership, theological integrity, and
organizational
transparency in the creation of a culture of generosity.

Leading for Results: A Workshop for New Nonprofit CEOs
Preparing new nonprofit CEOs to lead through training in resource
development, operations, and leadership covering such topics as:
* The role of the CEO in creating organizational clarity, forging
partnerships, and raising funds.
* How to build teamwork at all levels, with a special focus on the
critical
leadership team of the CEO, the Chief Development Officer, and the

requesting funds by means of proposal writing.

proposal based on the universal components of a strong project and
proposal.
* Understand and respond to the proposal review process.
* Consider the ethical and administrative issues of proposal
preparation and
grant administration.
