At the Brushy Fork Annual Institute, you will build hands-on skills, expand your network of contacts and resources and explore contemporary Appalachian issues. The three-day Institute includes:
Hands-on workshop tracks that develop your skills in areas such as grant writing, web site development, leadership, nonprofit management, finances and community development;
Informative plenary sessions presented by nationally known experts;
Networking opportunities with other people working to improve life in their communities.
The Annual Institute takes place on the beautiful campus of Berea College, just off Interstate 75 in central Kentucky. The 2007 Annual Institute will be held from September 11-14, 2007.

Brushy Fork Institute is pleased to announce that we will again be able to
offer scholarships to West Virginia participants for the Brushy Fork Annual
Institute. These scholarships are made possible by a grant from the Claude
Worthington Benedum Foundation.
Scholarships will be awarded to organizations on the basis of demonstrated
need. To apply, complete the attached scholarship application and
registration form. Both of these documents may also be downloaded from our
web site.

We will award both full scholarships ($425) and partial scholarships ($200).
Organizations are limited to one full or two partial scholarships. Deadline
