Our AmeriCorps Program Officer will be leaving the Commission in the next
month to take a program officer position at the Corporation for National and
Community Service in Washington DC.  We all know that our loss is the
Corporation¹s gain.
 
This is a critically important position and we are asking for your help in
spreading the word to potential candidates.  It is not an entry level
position.  The AmeriCorps Program Manager is a member of the senior staff
management team at the Commission.  Commission employees are at-will
employees (not covered by Civil Service)  of the Governor¹s Office with the
full range of state benefits.  They do not change with the change of
administrations.
 
The position will remain open until filled, and I will begin interviewing
for the position immediately.  In an ideal world, I would have a new person
identified by Feb. 1.
