"Evidence Based Practice" refers to the system of using social science
research as a basis for effective interventions and evaluation in social
work practice. Essentially, it is about using research-based "best
practices" in your work.
The WVU Division of Social Work is sponsoring a workshop on Tuesday
November 28 from 1-5pm that will help you move your work forward with
clients, families, and communities. "Towards More Informed Practice:
Evaluating Quality of Experiemental Articles" by Dr. Meenakshi
Venkataraman will instruct participants in how to assess the quality of
experimental articles, thereby giving you the tools to work "smarter" in
assessing research in your practice.
This session will be held in Morgantown and is being offerred at the
extended Early Bird Rate of $40.50 for 4 social work CEUs. Register
today!
Attached is a registration form. A full description of the session can
