I've had a request from Sylvia Hawkins, the Director of JOURNey in
Fairmont.
She has organized a Teen Issues Day at Fairmont Senior High School for
next Wednesday 10/25. In the morning, Susie Vanderlip from Legacy of
Hope will present (legacyofhope.com), in the afternoon three 45-minute
workshops will be given on a variety of topics pertinent to teens
(conflict, alcohol/tobacco, nutrition, self-mutiliation, dating
violence, etc.) Due to unexpected circumstances (including the sudden
death of one of the scheduled presenters over the weekend!) - Sylvia is
in desperate need of presenters on the following topics:
Grief
Stress
or another topic that would be relevant to teens.
Presenters would need to present for 45 minutes in 3 consecutive
sessions from 12pm - 2:45pm on 10/25.
If you have any interest and availability - please contact Sylvia
directly at [log in to unmask]
Please also pass this info on to others that might be available.
