Friday 9/8 is the deadline for enrolling in the 9/25-9/26 Conflict
Resolution workshop conducted by the Pittsburgh Mediation Center at
Jackson's Mills, WV. Cost is $150, 14 social work ceus available.
This two day session interactive session is based on the idea that
conflict is normal and that the way it is handled determines if the
outcome is constructive or destructive. When conflict is handled
constructively, it creates opportunities for communication and
constructive problem solving in the work place, in schools, in families
and in the community. When conflict is handled ineffectively it can
escalate into physical and emotional violence (and damage important
relationships).
If you are interested in learning how to become a mediator, then
consider enrolling in this session. This session is a prerequisite to
the Mediation training that the Pittsburgh Mediation Center conducts.
